Our Story

Pearl And Da Girl’s Catering is a family-owned business specializing in Southern and Seafood Cuisine founded in June 2017 by CEO, Nichelle Lattimore and CEO, Shavone Lattimore-Dunn. Pearl Lattimore was raised as a home cook taught by her mother and grandmother.

Pearl enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, bringing everyone together for a home cooked meal. Through her love of southern food, she raised her three girls (Nichelle Lattimore, Shavone Lattimore-Dunn, and Shontelle Lattimore) as home cooks. She taught her daughters also, how to cook with love. CEO, Nichelle started cooking at the age of 11, and Shavone at the age of 10. 

Their paternal grandmother (Luella Bunkley “Granny Grits”) also played a large role in teaching Da Girl’s how to cook. Luella would let Da Girl’s assist her in making meals for the family, especially holiday meals. With the guidance Nichelle and Shavone received from their mom and grandmother, they were able to fall in love with cooking, and understand how a good home cooked meal can bring family and friends together. This is why Pearl And Da Girl’s slogan is “Cooking With Love”.

We have experience in catering events, such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, bridal/baby shower, brunches, holiday meals/parties, and office events.
